Closing the treatment gap for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), the world's fourth deadliest disease.
We deliver mobile-based rehabilitation programs to COPD patients, making treatment accessible in areas where it is currently lacking.
COPD is a degenerative lung condition, primarily caused by smoking and air pollution, which leads to respiratory and heart failure.
The Problem
COPD is a major public health issue affecting 1 in 10 people worldwide and is the fourth leading cause of death globally.
Despite the proven effectiveness of pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) as a treatment for COPD, access remains extremely limited in lower-income settings due to insufficient healthcare capacity and medical training. As a result, 90% of COPD deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
The disease also has profound effects on people's quality of life. It is characterised by persistent breathlessness and frequent respiratory infections, often leading to depression and anxiety due to the challenges it presents in carrying out everyday activities.

Our Solution
Respira Health provides mobile-based support to address the treatment gap for COPD. Our rehabilitation program addresses the challenges that prevent millions from getting the help they need by ensuring that access to effective pulmonary rehabilitation is not limited by people's access to in-person treatment.
Effective
We provide effective and medically approved support via a digital rehabilitation program which includes chest physiotherapy, breathing exercises, and lifestyle support.
Accessible
Our rehabilitation program can be accessed by users anywhere, at any time. This is vital for patients who currently receive no support with managing their symptoms.
Mutually beneficial
Effective mobile support takes pressure off healthcare systems by reducing hospital admissions and reducing the need for healthcare workers to conduct home visits.
